Sorry to put a damper on your recruitment page but #1 guilds on Warcraft Servers are subjective, and it's kinda presumptuous to say you were in the #1 guild in each expansion.

Same with me and guilds. I am looking for a 'good' & 'active' guild that's fun to play with but I'm just below the 13k threshold and I'm at 60% with campaign. So, I'm still looking.

 

However, you can't post on those forums yet unless you have a ESO PC account. You won't be able to respond to a guild thread or create one. You can however see if the Guild is recruiting through their own website.

And no, BlackSmurf, you can't get rid of me.

 

My IPad doesn't behave on these forums....haha. BlackSmurf already mentioned the ESO forum restrictions.

And if you're recruiting, do yourself a favor and include the region, platform, and alliance (and possibly main objective: pvp / pve / crafting) in the subject line. I skipped over a lot of guilds that thought their guild name was enough to lure people in.

I came into this thread to ask exactly that question.

One of the most alarming things about TESO was that you were not allowed to discuss it on Bethesday's official Forums... instead you were shut down and told to go post on the TESO official Forums...

But you were not allowed to post on the official TESO Forums unless you owned a copy of the game.

Made it look like they were trying to cover up a stinker.

Even though that strange restriction is still in place at least the game is looking to be much better than their curious attempts at secrecy suggest.

 

Haha...there really is nothing secret in there...least nothing I've found.

I think they're reasoning is that originally it was a PC only game and wanted the forum to be read only for people that didn't buy the game. They have some pretty strick forum rules and letting anyone post would just cause ban hammers to go flying.

They will open it up to console players once the release happens.

 

Well when "Oblivion" released heads exploded when they didn't get "Morrowind II".

When "Skyrim" released heads exploded when they didn't get "Morrowind II" or "Oblivion II".

TESO will no doubt also upset people for being neither "Morrowind II", "Oblivion II" or "Skyrim: Multiplayer".

People can get pretty rude when they discover a developer has failed to consult them and mirror their dream Elder Scrolls experience.

 

Ah..I see what you're getting at. Yes, people that haven't watched or played ESO will find out they're not playing Skyrim Multiplayer. But I'd call it a single player game thrown into a MMO environment. Not totally a MMO, even though it's labeled as such,
but also not only a single player experience.

The biggest surprise veteran MMO players will have is the lack of a text chat box where you can type to other people. I think it's a big mistake and players will react negatively toward this lacking feature, but others think it will be refreshing and playable.

We will see.

 

I'm liking the sound of it. Put in a pre-order the other day to grab it on release.

The model you describe above worked great for "Defiance", "Destiny" and "Neverwinter" on console.

Of the 3 above all are great apart from "Neverwinter"'s dedicating an entire Home Base Area to their in game "in your face" shop.
