    Sometimes looking back helps us understand how far ahead we have gone. Xbox live has made huge steps with Xbox one and here are some of the features introduced to the service:



    Play your saved games on any Xbox One



    Any time you save your progress in a game on the Xbox One, a copy of that save file is automatically saved in cloud storage, too. This means that
    if you visit a friend's house or buy a new console, all your latest saves will be instantly accessible as soon as you sign in to your profile!





    See how much data your console is using.



    In order to check your Xbox One's data usage, go to Settings —> Network —> Bandwidth Usage.

    By now, you probably know that there are over 100 Xbox 360 games that are playable on your Xbox One, but did you know that you can start playing a game on your Xbox One
    right where you left off on your 360? In order to make your Xbox 360 saves accessible on your Xbox One, you have to enable cloud saving on your Xbox 360. To do so, go to Settings —> System —> Storage —> Cloud Saved Games, and select "Enable." Next, start the
    game on your Xbox 360. When you save your progress, select "Cloud Saved Games" as the desired save location. Once the upload is complete, this save file will be accessible when you start the game on your Xbox One!



    Use your phone or tablet as a controller.



    First, download the Xbox One SmartGlass app and make sure both your phone and Xbox One are on the same WiFi network. Then, select the "Connect" icon at the top of the screen
    and select your Xbox. Not only does this app let you view your screenshots and achievements from your phone, but you can also use your phone as a keyboard instead of trying to type with the the controller.



    Stream Xbox One games to your Windows 10 PC.



    First, enable streaming on your Xbox One. Go to Settings —> Preferences, and make sure "Allow game streaming to other devices" and "Enable the SmartGlass connection from
    any SmartGlass device" are selected. Connect your Xbox app to the Xbox One using your PC. Then, when you select a game from the Xbox App on your PC, hit "Play from console."



    Expand your storage with an external hard drive.



    One of the biggest pains about downloading games digitally is the inevitable moment when you start running out of hard drive space. A good thing is that the Xbox One is
    compatible with external hard drives, allowing you to quickly increase the total amount of storage.

    Mixpot notification bug?

    I know for sure I’ve gotten my mix pot because I’ve found a couple things so far for free that weren’t before. I have not been notified of what I got for my mixpot and hope that can change.

    Actually if the following video is possible the guide will be a fantastic feature, the video has 5 wanted things for the Xbox One, the guide is the last thing mentioned, but all are good, and I would welcome them all,

    Rewards weren’t deposited

    Hello,

    From the FAQ on Vault Credits:

    I claimed Rewards Credits from the vault. When will I receive them?

    If you claim Rewards Credits from the MyVIP Vault, they should appear as pending in your account within 96 hours. Once they are pending in your account, the normal deposit process kicks in. Generally if you have over 5,000 Rewards Credits pending in your
    account in the first half of any given month, that amount will be converted to your local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 30th of that same month. If the Credits show as pending in the second half of the month, that amount
    will be deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 15th of the next month.

    Please note you need at least 5,000 Rewards Credits pending to automatically trigger a deposit, though you can request a deposit for the next scheduled date as long as you have 1,000 Credits pending. Also, if you have ongoing issues with us depositing
    into your account, such as your account not matching up with your billing location, you might want to consider choosing a different prize from the vault, as we won’t be able to deliver your Rewards Credits until the deposit issue is resolved.

    Since all your Credits were pending in the second half of the month, then as stated in the FAQ, they will be a part of June's mid-month deposit that occurs around the 15th.

    xbox button doe not display the guide

    Exact same thing is suddenly happening to me. The sound of the guide loading is played, the screen dims, but the guide is not visible. It’s almost like it is appearing behind the dashboard. It’s also making it not possible to sign out or to access settings.

    What do we need to do to resolve this?

    For reference, I am on an Xbox One X

    Games which would benefit from/benefit Game Pass (and Game Pass on PC)

    First one that comes to mind is DayZ. My brother and i tried the trial few days after the beta came to xbox. It was so buggy and hard to play that when the trial ran out we weren’t satisfied at all. Now i wish i still had the trial so i can give it a second
    go before buying.

    I pretty much check out all achievements there are for a game before starting, if there are any secret ones then i go read guides about it. I try to get as many as possible in one go but it varies with the game.
