  1. [ Guide ] How to create a custom Xbox gamerpic on your Xbox One

Open the guide menu by pressing the Xbox button on your controller.

Move the joystick up to the profile selection at the top.

Use the "A" button to select My profile. Use the joystick and the "A" button to select Customize profile. Select Change gamerpic.

    Select Upload a custom image.

Next, you will land on the new UWP File Picker app. Navigate to a directory containing your picture, from a USB stick, for example, using the hamburger menu in the top left.

Alternatively, you can also press the view key on your controller to switch to a different app, such as Photos.

Photos brings together any pictures you have saved in OneDrive's picture directory. You can access it on OneDrive.com or by signing into a Windows 10 PC with the same account.

Navigate to the picture you would like to use with "A" and the joystick.

Note: Any picture you use has to be at least 1080 x 1080 image size.

Once you have selected the picture you want to use, crop it using the controls displayed on the screen

When you are finished, select Upload. Microsoft will verify the picture, and in around two minutes, you will be good to go.

    :)

why cant i change profile picture?

Windows Central has a pretty good guide to follow on how to update your profile pic to a custom image and details what the requirements
are. Please note that permissions to update it to a custom picture can be predicated by the type/age of your account. If you're birthday is correct on your Microsoft Account profile and is identified as a "Child" account, it will not let you create a custom
    image.
