Sorry to say that but Microsoft is just really bad at giving quality support. I found a solution to the missing driver issue!

Controller Range - Extend range of the controller

I am having issues with the range of the wireless controllers. If I go past about 12' from my closet they start blinking and disconnect. I can't sit at my couch which is about 25' from my TV . Wonder if PS4 has better range. Kind of frustrating,
anyone else having issues, my WiiU controller works no problem! Is there any way to extend the range of the wireless controllers?

Controller disconnection issues (my case)

I am having these exact same issues. I am also on my second XBox1 and own two different controllers. This happens with both controllers. My wife plays on a separate XB1 3 feet from me and does not have this problem.

I'm thinking about having my XB1 replaced through phone support, but reading this post does not give me hope. I read in another post regarding the same problem that re-syncing the controllers using a USB cable resolved the problem, I'll try that first.

Hi ibtattedian,

I assume as you're using wireless HDMI you have a sender and receiver. Do you still get the issue you're having if you power off the sender and receiver and then turn the sender on first and the receiver second?

A display settings reset may also help, power the console on using the guide button on a controller, as the console powers up press and hold Y and the right trigger on the controller.

Let us know how things work out please, I'd never heard of wireless HDMI until I read this post but found some info on the interweb that says most display issues can be resolved by powering off the sender and receiver and powering them on in the order I
mentioned above.

I just realised the answer is NO... as the Microsoft Xbox 360™ Wireless Gaming Receiver for windows uses 2.4 GHz radio technology whereas the Xbox 360 Media Remote control control uses Infrared technology....

Now does anyone know a compatible Infrared Receiver for Windows compatible with with Xbox 360 Media Remote control ?
