To answer your inquiry, Xbox guest account is only temporary and can't be retrieved. As soon as either the host or the guest account signs out, the guest account is removed from the console. If your guest anticipates playing on this console in the future and wants to retain their progress, we recommend that they create a Microsoft account and Xbox profile on the console.

There is an option to unlink your Fortnite account and relink it to a proper Xbox account however keep in mind that:

Your game progress and purchases are stored on your Epic Games account, so if you unlink your console account from your Epic Games account, you’ll lose access to that data from your disconnected console account.

If you sign in to your Epic Games account using a console or platform that was unlinked, you will automatically create a brand new Epic Games account. This new account will not have any game progression.

There is a restriction that prevents you from linking a new console account if the same console type was previously linked to your Epic Games account.

You also have the option to setup a Guest Account or Keys on your xbox.

When you have a guest who wants to play side-by-side multiplayer games but doesn’t have an Xbox Live account or gamertag, you can create a guest account on your Xbox One console for one-time use. This temporary
account is created as a copy of the account of the person who’s currently signed in to the console.

At the end of the session, when the person whose account was used to create the guest account signs out, the guest account is also signed out and removed from the console.

Note A guest account is different from a guest key. A temporary guest account can only be created while you’re signed in and is deleted as soon as you or your guest signs out. A guest key is
a reusable passcode that allows guests to use your console without requiring you to be signed in.
