Yeah I download free gold games as soon as they are available. I played halo for about 5 min and didn't do anything with Guacamelee.

Okay, I got it, but I haven't tried it yet; that'll have to wait until after my doctor's appointment later today. :|

This game is quite fun with the kids .My 11 ,6 and 4 year olds love it .

Same here. The colours and music are amusing to them. Just some good ol fashioned light hearted fun.

 

Okay, I finally got around to trying it and even did some coop with my brother when I showed it to him. I think it's a really great game to be honest. Great music, story, atmosphere, word-play, etc. The only gripe I would have is that the gameplay seems
pretty basic, but I've just started and there appears to be a lot more to unlock and learn, so I'll be holding off on judgement regarding that. Once this game releases with a price, I'd say it's worth $10 or maybe even $15. For free, I think it's a steal!
I'm a big fan of Castlevania/Metroid type games, which is exactly what this is, so I'm going to continue to enjoy this game for some time, I think.

 

Very metroidesque. Alot of nods to many classic games and movies. Reminds me a bit of supermetroid on the SNES. Very clever and well done with lots of hidden areas that require you to backtrack a bit. Dont miss it

 

This is a great old school style metroidvania game. There are many references/easter eggs paying tribute to video game classics like metroid, mario bros, and zelda. I am shocked that it's the freebie of the month.
