GTAV - Where is it?

Now, I know that it's going to be available on November 18th for the Xbox One. What I don't understand and what bothers me is why we're not seeing any kind of advertising or pre-order/pre-download option for it on Xbox Live. I would like to be able to pre-order
and pre-download it digitally before it releases so I don't end up getting to eventually play it a day after everyone else who bought a physical copy. Sadly, doing a search for it in the store shows up absolutely nothing regarding the game.

Have you noticed this? Do you think this is a developer decision, simply the fact that it's technically a re-release, or something else entirely. I'd like to know your thoughts on this...

I've noticed. It's not because it's a re-release.... it's been available to pre-order on PSN for quite a long time now. The game has actually gotten more spotlight on the PS4. No idea why.

 

It will probably be put up some time this week.

 

In that case, it might've been some sort of special deal Sony made with the developers, kind of like they did with Destiny. Can anyone confirm this?

I did read that if you have a physical copy for 360/PS3 and trade it towards an upgrade it is a $30 credit at Gamestop. So GS is doing an upgrade deal. At least the one up the road from my house is.

 

The 360 is littered with videos showing the new FPS mode, and all kinds of advertising. But I haven't seen as much of it on the One. I suspect it will pop up there this week for pre-download.

 

@First Sony and MS do things differently. Sony allows you to preorder months in advance, MS only allows you to preorder once the game has gone Gold. Apparently GTA has yet to go gold.

Edit: @GG a marketing deal has literally zero to do with the lack of GTA being made available to download. In fact Destiny and Shadow of Mordor both had marketing deals with Sony and were both made available to DL early. Same goes with Far Cry 4.

^^While that is true it is wildly inaccurate as to why it isnt available for preorder. Continue with your conspiracy theory though.

 

Getting this on disc. Hopefully Game do their usual trick and I receive it a day early.

^^Thats not a digital download code, its a retail disc. GG wants to preload the digital version.
