GTAV transfer game save

I only got about 50% of the way through the single player missions, so when I transfer it across to my Xbox one, will my Franklin, Michael & Trevor be at the same stage as when I stopped playing on the 360? how is this done?

i understand the online character will transfer across, but it's more about the single player missions or do I have to start again?

Check out the R* website and/or R* Social Club (RSC).

In summary, when you load up your new GTAV in the XB1, you will get the option to transfer your existing character(s) over.

There's some criteria to adhere too, I believe you need a RSC login active etc.

Once you transfer, you can continue to play on the 360 but any progression there will not be transferred to your recently transferred XB1 game save.

 

Your single player progress will not transfer.

Any save game data for any game that is stored on the Xbox 360 will not be compatible with the Xbox One, as they store the data differently. So you'll have to start the single player again, it is quite a challenge in first person mode, so maybe give that
a go to make it different.

Although your single-player game won't copy over, if you played it on 360 you will get a bunch of extra stuff with the Xbox One version in story mode: new vehicles, weapons, missions, plus a million bucks to spend:
