GTA5 Starts up for one second then immediately closes the game and brings me back to home...

Based on the information you provided, I'd suggest doing a soft factory reset.

- To do this, please go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset console > Keep games and apps.

Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.

- If that doesn't work, please try reinstalling the game.

THANK YOU! I didn't know that a reset through the settings would change that. I reset and kept my games and apps and I can finally load GTA on this xbox.

- Do you get any error codes/messages when your console takes you back to the dashboard?

- Are you using external storage with your console? If the answer is yes - is GTA installed on your external storage unit?

- Is your console enrolled in the Xbox Insider program?

- Did you check for both game and console updates?

- Could you tell me what kind of reset you did on your console?

Hi. When my console takes me back to the dashboard, the screen flashes real quick as if an error message might be coming up but no I don't get any error messages or codes. I am not using any external storage devices. I'm not sure if the console is enrolled in the xbox insider program. I have Xbox Insider Hub (Legacy) in my owned apps but not installed. The other xbox insider apps aren't there or installed. Yes both my game and my console have no available updates. I did the type of reset where you hold the button on the front of the xbox for about 10 seconds and let it fully turn off. Then I unplugged the power cord and waited 30 seconds before plugging it in and turning the xbox on again.

The wifi signal is 100%. When i do connect it and run tests everything checks out as working.

Even if I go offline. Start the game it loads up.. I start playing, THEN turn wifi back on it immediately kicks me out back to the home screen.

Ugh
