GTA V weird shadows/graphics issue

Hello everyone,

I apologize if this problem's been brought up before, but I've wondered through countless forums trying to find an answer, but to no avail. Stranger still, is that this has happened to many others - and they are as dumbfounded as I am.

The issue: I began noticing these odd distortions in shadows, particularly noticeable at night or in very dark areas while playing GTA V. Black or red-coloured cars show this unusual effect best for some reason.

And it's not just the shadows. The whole game started running really funny, with things taking longer to render and pixels are all jagged and unrefined. I didn't install the game disc on my HDD, followed instructions not to and didn't have any problems.

That is, it ran just fine until I tried playing GTA V online - it needed two updates for me to be able to proceed online: Capture Mode and Beach Bum DLC's. After installing those updates, graphics got messed up and I haven't been able to fix them since.

I've tried: reinstalling the game, switching HDMI cables and changing from 1080p to 720p (made zero difference) - now I'm out of options, and simply refuse to play with these annoying graphics.

Now, I say the game began running poorly after I did those two GTA V updates, because I never noticed the graphics problem beforehand. I still, however, do not know what exactly happened and how I can get GTA V back to normal again.

So, is there anyone else out there experiencing this problem? Particularly after downloading those updates?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This sucks....

One dead giveaway that makes your above post ^^ illogical is that the graphics used in the GTA V Trailer are the same as the GTA IV graphics (if you look closely enough). If GTA V were actually on a newer console, wouldn't the graphics be better? They look
exactly the same.

 

Weird graphics issue

My kid turned my xbox one off and on a lot and now the graphics for the games and apps don't work. Any one know how to fix this? Picture below

 

They may need to maintain their servers. I haven't seen them shut them down once. In MMOs they usually have weekly maintenance.

 

Clear your cashe on you HD. Thats usually the problem for most games. Especially if you play more then one game regularly.

But like Chemist said its probably Rockstar's fault. They aren't very good at this whole multiplayer thing.

 

Try installing on a USB drive

 

Try uploading disc 2 on a memory stick.

 

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried clearing the cache several times but nothing happened. This is gonna sound strange, but it's as if the second (install) disc was just never there... the graphics are just garbage now. Gonna try the USB drive method; if
that doesn't work, then I'm all out of options...

 

kinda on topic, anyone else notice the online grafix are better then story mode? easy way to tell, compare VU strip club girls.

I'm honestly starting to think GTA V Story and Online modes should be entirely separate games. There's an overwhelming amount of problems with both at this point, because Rockstar tried to make the most with the least but which one they really got right
is, at best, trivial. As I said, my game was perfectly alright until I decided to try out online - and everything went to *** afterwards.
