    GTA V stuck on "downloading" opening


    I just purchased GTA V from the xbox marketplace. It downloaded the 7-8gigs. When I try to run it, I get the Rockstar opening, then it switches to a "downloading" screen, where it cycles through some pictures. At no point can I select anything, or do anything.
    It continues "downloading" after roughly 2 hours, and I have no idea if it will ever stop.

    GTA 5 install frozen/stuck at 73%!!

    Gta v game has taken 7 days to download from digital market and it's stuck at 97%! On the games and apps nothing is queued for download. It says its ready to play. What do i do?

    Freeze on save in Skyrim and can't even get past the loading screen in GTA V

    If GTA V is indeed downloaded from the marketplace and not a disc, try this.

    Delete GTA V and clear your cache 3 times.

    Restart your console.

    Download 16 GB of demos (this is how big GTA V will be in the end)

    Once those have finished download all the GTA V files from your download history (GTA V, Installation Packs 1-4)

    After you've done that, feel free to delete the demos.

    This worked for me, hopefully it works for you too!

    Same problem here with far cry 4. Gta v works offline and that's a download for me. Just called support and Simon advised it's linked to issues with xbox store and check for an update in 30 mins. I should have stuck to discs.
