Discus and support GTA V stops installing at 54%. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Hi... My GTA V stops at 54.9% and it doesn't move any further even after leaving it for 6-8 hours.     Hi... My GTA V stops at 54.9% and it doesn't move any further even after leaving it for 6-8 hours. Please help.

    I am downloading it through disk.

    What's the age and the model of the console? The installation is mostly from the Xbox network, so I can't see this being the disc.

    I would suggest this a failing hard drive. Are you able to try an external drive?
    The Console is an Xbox One S, 1TB internal storage, that I bought in late 2017, to early 2018.

    It also has 4TB of external disk space, which is not full, and what the game was trying to download on. The external hard drive still has around 2.5 TB left on it. The console has around 350 GB.

    Hello, I´m Jamie. an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

    Please could you try the following steps.

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds, at which point it will shut down.

    2. Unplug the power supply from your console.

    3. Wait for about 3 minutes.

    4. Plug the power supply back into your console.

    5. Press the Xbox button on your Xbox One console to turn it on.
