    GTA V still isn't downloading


    I just bought a disc copy of GTA V and my Xbox One wont download it. It keeps saying “installation stopped” and i’ve tried all the other methods to download it and it still just wont work. My Xbox downloads the network bit of the install just fine, but as soon as it downloads 13gb of the disc it stops.

    I’ve just tried what you said and it has still stopped at 12.83GB of 42.44GB. Are there any other methods I should try?

    Refuse the update. Start the game after installation and it will then install and should work

    GTA V Definitive Edition? Don't you mean GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition? The Remaster of GTA V isn't out until March 2022.

    Freeze on save in Skyrim and can't even get past the loading screen in GTA V

    If GTA V is indeed downloaded from the marketplace and not a disc, try this.

    Delete GTA V and clear your cache 3 times.

    Restart your console.

    Download 16 GB of demos (this is how big GTA V will be in the end)

    Once those have finished download all the GTA V files from your download history (GTA V, Installation Packs 1-4)

    After you've done that, feel free to delete the demos.

    This worked for me, hopefully it works for you too!
