Discus and support Gta V randomly showed up on xbox 1, ready to install. Why? I own it on the 360 in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I own the game on the 360. So I assumed it just transfered to the Xbox one? I installed the game, but now it says that I need to switch to the profile...     Gta V randomly showed up on xbox 1, ready to install. Why? I own it on the 360


    I own the game on the 360. So I assumed it just transfered to the Xbox one? I installed the game, but now it says that I need to switch to the profile of the person who bought it, or insert the game disc. After signing out then back in, it still says the
    same message. Is this a tactic to try to make me buy it again?

    It showed up as ready to install..... I never owned the disc, was downloaded on my old 360.

    Sorry to hijack this but:

    Did ME1 show up in your "Ready to install" section OR are you forced to use the disc?

    I have several other games I own for 360 that showed up in "Ready to install" but not ME1.

    I'm assuming you bought a used Xbox One. The previous owner must have owned the game. Either that, or your Xbox One is not set up as your "Home" Xbox.

    If it randomly shows up in game, then why does it advertise the option to upgrade in the Xbox store? Also why does it show the cross gen version as purchasable when I ready own it? Usually says "You own this, manage this title"...just looking for a straight answer.

    Backwards compatibility.

    Ok, I have the games installed on Xbox 360 and they are backwards compatible. Black Ops 1 shows up on my Xbox One's ready to install same with Modern Warfare 3 but Black Ops 2 and alot of my other games DON'T show up. I don't understand why.

    Make sure you are logged into the correct account on your Xbox which you used to purchase GTA V, otherwise it will not show in the ready to install for you to download.
