GTA V on demand unable to read disk

I recently bought Grand theft auto over xbox live on demand and now a new update aparently has come out and when i got to play GTA V i get the message for the update but then immediatly get an " Unable to read disk" message. I have tryed to even play it
offline with out the update but i continue to get the same message about a nonexistant disk as my xbox has no game at all in the tray as i purchased it on demand. If anyone has an explanation on how to fix this can u please explain it to me.

GTA V Games On Demand

I purchased GTA V via Games on Demand. For the first few weeks wverything was fine but for the last 2 - 3 weeks. I have been unable to play. I get a Disk Read Error. I am told that my xbox cannot read the disk. Xbox cannot read the disk on a downloaded game.
I tried erasing the game re-downloading several times to no avail. Has anyone else seen this error. How did you handle it. I kind feel like I just threw 60$ out the window.

Games on Demand is a great thing but unless this is figured out I won't be buying any more games this way. Considering the time it takes to download, I can goto the store and back and to pay the same price as a disk based game with the manual and other assorted
packaging is crazy....But don't get me wrong, If there is a game I want bad enough and can't get a pre-order. Ill be right here downloading it to the ole' xbox rather than waiting in the cold for a midnight release lol.

Please help. I really want to play GTA V

Memory for Gta v

Hi so i read that to play gta v i will need 8 gb of space on my hard disk.i have the slim xbox with 4 gb of hard disk.... If i buy a usb pen can i download gta v directley on the usb pen or do i have to download it before on my hard disk and then on the
usb pen????? Please answear

Oh and also i recently have played minecraft and halo reach but i cannot unlock any acheivements for some reason. Just putting that out there if i could get an explanation on that id be thankful.

Try clearing your cache (support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache) and then restart the console and try playing the game again (online).

No once dlc is redeemed it is tied to your gamertag, you cannot give it away once redeemed. If you have still got the dlc in code form on a card and have "NOT" already redeemed said "CODE" you can give that card to your friend then he or she can redeem and
download it. If the GTA V game is in disc form you can give him or her the physical game. If the game is in digital form you cannot give it away as it is also tied to your gamertag (if downloaded from games on demand) If you installed the game from a disk
to a hard drive or USB stick it is tied to the physical game disk.

To put it simply if you wanna give your friend GTA V, give them the disk to keep. If the downloadable content is already redeemed you can't give it away. If GTA V is a games on demand version you cannot give it away either.

Gta on demand is also region locked you have to buy the disk version

But gta online is region restricted Dlc
