GTA V disk installation

installing disk 2 [the disk you put in to actually start GTA V] will hinder game performance, so don't install disk 2 if you want quality performance...but disk one is the manditory install

Try clearing your system cache 3 times an redownload the installation that you have on the installation disk for gta v

Install to HD disk always. XBox will then only spin up the disk to confirm that you own the disk. Not only do you lower the risk of scratched disks but you can continue to use scratched ones. For example, I have an old Mass Effect 1 & a Perfect Dark Zero
disk that were scratched; I borrowed a friend's copies to install but can still use my own to play the Hard Disk content.



In the case of GTA V, you need to install the "Install" disk to the Hard Drive and they recommend not to install the "Play" disk to the same drive. However, you could install an unscratched "Play" disk to a USB drive instead. Hopefully, you can then continue
to play GTA V (with the scratched disk for license purposes)

Does anyone think its the same as GTA V when it comes to installing the disk along with the install disk itself? I had it installed since I got the game and I do see pop in's and other graphic problems just need some advice please.

For best performance Rockstar recommends not installing the play disk. Sounds like the best way is to install disk 1 "Install Disk" on to your HDD and run with disk 2 "Play Disk" installed onto a USB.

I would go with giving the cache a clear still though and then a quick connection test with Xbox Live
