Discus and support GTA V Disc made in Germany, Bought in US. Should I return? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I recently purchased GTA V for Xbox One from walmart.com (US), I got the game today and on the back of case there's a sticker that says, "disc made in...     GTA V Disc made in Germany, Bought in US. Should I return?


    I recently purchased GTA V for Xbox One from walmart.com (US), I got the game today and on the back of case there's a sticker that says, "disc made in Germany". The first I purchased didn't say made in Germany. My concern is that everything would be in German
    and me not being able to return for full refund due to it being opened. I've searched online for answers but so far only came up with Germany censors games but will still play on US bought console. Does anyone know if the game will be completely in english
    or should I just simply return to Wal-Mart.

    Hey again Edible!

    Here's a support article that teaches you to
    reset your display settings    . Let us know how that goes for you.

    If it doesn't help, I suggest giving these steps a shot:

    • Uninstall GTA V completely from all storage devices you have (both the play disc and the install disc).
    • Clear your system cache.
    • Restart your console.
    • Install only the GTA V install disc (not the play disc) to your console's main hard drive.
    • Place the GTA V play disc in the console and try to play GTA V without the play disc installed (you should only have the install disc installed).

    As far as I can tell from Rockstar's website, the game will play in English as long as your console is set to English.

    Xbox 360 and Xbox One:

    • Japan** – Japanese and English

    I'm pretty sure the German version - which according to the above can be played English - is no different to the U.S and other European versions. Germany does censor some games, but normally these are to do with glorifying Nazism, and Nazi regalia (Swastika's
    and such). None of which is contained in GTA V. Normally if a game is too violent it would be banned outright in Germany.

    I would suggest returning the discs and exchanging for replacement ones, due to the faultiness of the discs. It appears many people are currently having disc issues with GTA V so far.
