GTA: San Andreas, the game that vanished from my catalogue, and company loyalty

Hi all,

So, I, like many others, purchased the digital download of GTA: SA when it became available on the xbox 360.

This week, as you know, it became available on the xbox one this week, so I, along with others who have been subsequently affected, were ready to go on a hoo-ra back to Grove street!

But, there's been a problem.

It won't appear in my game library.

Now, I'm being quoted £7.79, which isn't extortionate... If I hadn't already paid for it.

Do I want to set a precedent and pay twice? No.

I've seen a number of posts on various forums who'd mentioned speaking to xbox support, and being asked to provide a receipt for a game purchased 10+ years ago, which is a staggering response, and suggests you cannot look through your own records, or that
you've lost them?

Are you losing details of the games we bought?

If so, why is that?

I've spent thousands over the years on the 360 and xbox one on games, DLC, membership and peripherals. I've been a loyal customer for 10+ years. Can you please look into this matter and reinstate this game?

If you can't, I mean, if it isn't possible to take the small amount of time it would take to look into the matter, then I think that'll be it for me doing business with you, as I hope you're able to keep the records of the games we've bought on your platform.
It'd be reassuring.

This game really makes me want to play GTA: San Andreas.

 

XBOX originals update please

My only complaint is that I can't download GTA San Andreas (from my hard copy/ game disc) into my 250 gig harddrive. Playing GTA 4 is starting to wear a little thin. I'd have more fun as CJ in the insanity that is San Andreas. Dammit!

Well, I know I'm speaking to somebody who's been told that they didn't buy the game by Microsoft after they couldn't find his full purchase history.

He'd been buying DLC since 2006, but their records only went to 2011? It's worrying news.
