Is The San Andreas Re-release gonna be available on Australian consoles?

Currently Australia is on the ban list for
GTA: San Andreas Re-Release because our government doesn't realize there are worse games out there

I don't think anyone has this answer and if a lot of the other remastered digital content is anything to go by, I'm not sure we'll ever see it on the marketplace...

It has to do with our R18+ classification, now I'm no expert, nor have I even read the actual law, but I think it has to do with using any kind of drugs as a reward or promoting the use of drugs.

If we ever get to see it, I believe it will be in the form of some kind of GTA HD pack that has all the games remastered or something. I'm not holding my breath for the digital version.

 

I can confirm that this is certainly "Not Available in my region", it's $3.74 U.S. Speaking of Aus/NZ, I've been vaping for close to 2 years, it's illegal to sell the nicotine in Australia but not New Zealand. However, it is legal for me to buy Nicotine
from overseas. Not sure about the R18+ thing, i did get the GTA box set for the original Xbox here in Aus.

 

That was all speculation on my part, I actually just looked into it a little further and it seems like the issue stems back to the legislation and our system as you would expect.

Though, it appears the R18+ classification doesn't even extend to all digital media and if a game doesn't make classification in Australia, apparently steam won't even sell it even though they could being an offshore distributor. I don't use steam, so I
can't confirm that.

I'm just so confused right now because thinking about it, GTA SA is on the iOS marketplace, so how could it be a classification thing? Maybe it will be coming soon then?

For now, I'm just going to stop guessing, haha.

It's the 1st of November now almost the 2nd still no gta San Andreas. I can't see why they can't just release it on xbox when it was just the ported version of ios and android so confused?!!!!

 

Its out now on NZ and AU marketplace , but the special anniversary price has gone.... but least we got it

^Thanks for posting mate, I'll be holding off until I see it on sale. Hopefully there's one over the Christmas period.

 

It was $5 the other day, I bought it. I bet it goes on sale over Xmas though.

 

How nice of them to widely advertise it for us......
