    When I try to go to GTA online. It tells me my profile does not have permission to access GTA online. I'm current with my gold membership.

    When I try to join GTA online it tells me my profile does not have permission to access GTA online.

    GTA Online, your profile does not have permission to Access Gta online

    Normally, when you get this message, it is because you do not have the gold subscription. But if since you do have it, delete your profile from the console, then redownload it.

    (Note: if you do not have access to your email or forgot your password, go to account.live.com)

    The account you posted with is a silver account. If this is the account you used to access GTA O the you were unable to connect because you need a Gold Membership to xbo Live.

    I just got this game again for this console. Got a 2 week promo code for Live. I guess I have to wait for that promo to expire? I do have a Gold code ready to use when it does.

    you need the gold subscription to play online

    get XBOX Live Gold, and you can play online

    Does this mean that even though I had a GTA V profile on my XBox 360 (non-Gold XBL account), I can't migrate my profile to my XBox One without going to XBL Gold??

    GTA Online, your profile does not have permission to Access Gta online

    ^^ You need a Gold account to play online. You won't be able to migrate until you're Gold.

    Gold = Online play. Silver = no online play even if it expires. You also cant transfer from 360 to one because its your"online character" so you will need gold as well.
