GTA online friend interaction problems

Hi Josef, cheers for the reply. My main account has game pass ultimate. I have identified that my friend who bought the game at a similar time also has the same problem. I can join people in other games through xbox invites and I also cannot use the GTA online in game system to join my friends. I also changed my xbox parent account to another with game pass ultimate and same result.

May I know if you have a Live Gold subscription or Game Pass Ultimate subscription active on the account that you want to use for online play?

Or is this happening only with GTA Online?

If yes, may I know which troubleshooting steps you have done so far?

I’m also having the same exact issue. I have the full game and my friend has GTA: Online. We’re both on xbox and both have Live. But it directs him to buy the game when I send him an invite.

As per your description you can join multiplayer with friends in other games, but with GTA online you cannot. It also happen the same using your parent's account and to your friend who bought on the same time with you.
