GTA Online Connectivity Issues

This has been an issue for many months now. Xbox support and Rockstar have been no help at all so I am turning to the gaming community looking for possible solutions.

I am unable to join GTA online games that contain other people. When I join I am in a lobby by myself. On the very rare occasion I am able to join a lobby with tops 9 people. About 3-5 minutes of playing it will say that all of the players in the lobby left
when in fact it is simply me disconnecting even though I continue to play alone. I can try to join friends lobbies with the error "connection timed out while trying to join." Both Microsoft and Rockstar will claim that it is an issue with my NAT settings or
some other ISP issue. In Xbox settings it says I have an open NAT but I have also assigned my xbox a static IP and given it DMZ designation which opens all ports so I have a hard time believing it is an issue with my connection. Other strange things happen
when attempting to play GTA Online. If I am in a party as soon as I try to join an online game the party chat will stop working. It will still say that I'm in the party but I cannot hear others in the party and they cannot hear me. Beyond network troubleshooting
I have performed a system restore of the Xbox and reinstalled GTA fresh. This did not resolve the issue. I am also considering that an issue with the Xbox Preview Program could be a factor as well and have posted on their forums too.

If anyone else has encountered problems like this and may have a solution please let me know. GTA is my favorite game and I am unable to play it. Heists in 4 days.....

GTA Online Connectivity Issues

here's what works for me , ( I get into lobbies by myself too ) reset modem and router then go to xbox one settings > network> advanced > alternate mac address then clear it....it will tell you that you need to reset your console to take effect ....when
I did this and got back on I was in a full lobby .....that being said with the right modem and router (you don't have a "gateway " do you ? those are iffy imo...) you shouldn't have to forward any ports or go DMZ as upnp should be in effect.....

 

Unfortunately I don't think there is a fix for this. It sucks my man I know. I'm on ethernet connection, with a static IP set up on my xbone and on my router/modem for my xbone. I even have my xbox set as a DMZ. Basically all the same settings that you
have set up, but with the added (supposed) bonuses of ethernet.

Up and down speeds are really nice, but I have party connection issues constantly and GTA has been a real struggle to connect to. This hurts to say (really really really hurts) but no matter how much I despise Comcast I don't think I can blame them for
this one.

I'm also a preview member and I feel like that could possibly be part of the problem, which is just absurd. You would think their netcode would get better with every update but instead they focus on adding new features which are useless if you can't even
play games. I'm sick of Microsoft's garbage, I've paid that company so much and yet here they are not fixing a single thing. If only all my friends would buy some decent gaming pc's....
