GTA IV not Downloading

I purchased GTA IV today after seeing it was on offer. I played online and the download was at around 50% the last time I checked. After finishing playing online I went to check the status of the download only to see it was no longer downloading. I checked
my games but it wasn't there so I went to download history and attempted to download the game again. However, a error message pops up and says GTA IV Cannot be Downloaded. I have played the game previously using a retail disc so there is already save data.
Is there anyway to fix this without restarting the download?

GTA IV keeps lagging

Is it only with GTA IV? If so can you try re-downloading the game via Download history;

Account management -> Download history.

 

Looking for GTA V Role-Playing Clan

I am currently looking for an organized role-playing police clan for GTA V that does things as realistic as possible. I do not own GTA IV anymore nor do I own GTA IV: TBOGT or GTA IV: LCS, so it would have to be strictly GTA

Sorry but no. You'll have to restart the download.

If the system shows a partial download, try deleting that then clearing your cache before starting a new download.

I purchased the game today. never had it before so no game saves to delete. Doesn't even begin to download. After 20 seconds I get the message "Can't download GTA IV". Deleted all the cache, same message.
