GTA connection issues

Does anyone else seem to be having an issue with GTA V online? I am using my Xbox at my boyfriends house, and he can get onto GTA perfectly fine. However, when intry to get on, it kicks me after 10-15 mins. I re added the account and the game today and
i am still having issues. This seems to be a reoccuring problem, way back from 2013. I am sure GTA have tried to address this issue before, but it clearly it hasn’t worked. Anyone having the same issue?

Hi there xGhostBandit,

Thanks for your post. To troubleshoot this, try clearing your local save games. This will allow you to re-download your save data which could then prevent disconnection that could be caused by possible save issues.

This can be done by viewing Settings>System>Storage then select
"Clear local saved games", the console will restart after agreeing to clear the local saved games.

Are you both playing on the same console, or is it two different consoles? If it's different consoles, if you sign into his with your account, does it work?

So, I understand that if you are having connection problems with GTA 5 but no other game, then the issue is likely a wireless connection versus hardwired?

I am also having similar issues. This post sounds familiar too. Doesn't sound like the issue is a problem with our network configuration, this points to a Live problem.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a fix for this. It sucks my man I know. I'm on ethernet connection, with a static IP set up on my xbone and on my router/modem for my xbone. I even have my xbox set as a DMZ. Basically all the same settings that you
have set up, but with the added (supposed) bonuses of ethernet.

Up and down speeds are really nice, but I have party connection issues constantly and GTA has been a real struggle to connect to. This hurts to say (really really really hurts) but no matter how much I despise Comcast I don't think I can blame them for
this one.

I'm also a preview member and I feel like that could possibly be part of the problem, which is just absurd. You would think their netcode would get better with every update but instead they focus on adding new features which are useless if you can't even
play games. I'm sick of Microsoft's garbage, I've paid that company so much and yet here they are not fixing a single thing. If only all my friends would buy some decent gaming pc's....
