  1. gta 5 stuck on display calibration screen

-xbox 360- I just purchased (yesterday) GTA V through my xbox live Gold account. after it downloaded and installed on to my hard drive i launched the game. it starts out ok but about ten seconds after launching it goes into a "Display Calibration" screen
and seems to freeze because pressing on any button of the remote does nothing....i cant even press the "home" button to exit back to the xbox dashboard. ive tried clearing the cache and have rebooted the system twice but still get stuck on that screen. i thought
about deleting the game and installing it again but i do not now how to do that. any suggections or ideas would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

    :)

Here is something to try if you feel you are hitting a target first but not killing it, check you TV calibration through the XBOX One's settings.

I didn't do the calibration at first and was experiencing the same thing. Through Calibration, even with having my television's Game Mode active,I still had other features active which were affecting what I was seeing on screen.

While my picture was looking pretty, I was seeing things "late" due to latency in my TV's display. And even with turning off all the picture improving tv features, the graphics are still as wonderful as ever. The picture will barely suffer while you get
a quicker display of the action.

Yeah, every HDTV I've had (4 of them) & any that I've ever messed with have different settings for evey input.

You should probably pick up a calibration disc like Video Essentials or Avia. They will guide you through achieving a picture as good as your display can get without a high dollar professional service menu calibration. Or, if you have any LucasFilm DVDs
(like Star Wars), they all have elementary calibration software/test screens built-in.

I think that deleting and re-downloading the game the next best step.

Go to the Settings hub, and choose System.

    Select Storage.

    Select Hard Drive.

    Select Games.

Select the game that you want to delete.

    Press Y for game options

    Select Delete.

Try this out and let me know if you get past the display calibration screen.

  5. hey BalSak420...well i was actually able to get past the calibration screen finally. i've already deleted and reinstalled the game 3 times. after the first time i was actually able to get past the calibration screen but then the game would crash a couple
of seconds later while loading. after the second time deleting and re-downloading the game would crash only a few seconds into launching. the third time reinstalling did not change anything..still crashing. i chatted with three different xbox support agents
and after following their suggestions i am still having the same issues. the game just will not launch. i asked for a refund but i was told to contact Rockstar and see if they can help me with this. one agent gave me a support number for Rockstar which was
just a recording..the last agent i chatted with to told me that number was not the "official" Rockstar number so she gave me a different number. ill be calling that number today. at this point i would rather just get a refund and buy the game on disc. its
already been almost 5 days since i purchased the game and we still cant play it.

how do i fix my game feeling not centered on my screen?

Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

If you're having problems with your game's display alignment or sensitivity, you can try the following solutions:

    1. Make sure your TV or monitor is set to the correct aspect ratio and that it is not overscanning the image. This can result in the screen's edges being cut off, which may be causing the alignment issues.

    2. Calibrate the settings in your game: Many games have calibration settings that allow you to adjust the display and sensitivity. Examine the Apex settings menu to see if there are any options for display alignment or sensitivity.

    3. Reset your Xbox display settings: On your Xbox, go to the "Display & sound" settings menu, select "Video output," and then select "Calibrate TV." Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your display settings and see if this solves the problem.

    4. Try a different HDMI cable: If you're connecting your Xbox to your TV or monitor via an HDMI cable, try a different cable to see if that solves the problem. Cables can be defective or incompatible at times.

    Xbox 360 GTA 5

I don't have/play GTA V Online. I have GTA 5 as Disc (CD) — I currently have no Xbox live Gold membership / you don't need that to play GTA V — I already completed every mission. I just want to continue playing it as usual, but like I said I'm stuck in
    the Story-Mode loading screen.
