    Hi

    Ive just purchased the gta 5 story mode for xbox series x, i had the original game downloaded after i purchased nothing happened no updates and when i search for the download in my game library it doesnt show anything. When i go to the store and search for it again the only option is to gift to someone else.

    What am i doing wrong?

    Story Mode is an add-on to GTA 5 Online. You won't be able to play it unless you own GTA 5 Online.

    The Xbox series version of Grandtheft auto five is separated into two separate things. Just like red dead redemption two was. You purchased the wrong thing, you need to purchase the thing that says Grandtheft auto online that I believe is currently $20

    Otherwise you’ll need to wait another month or so for the grand theft auto online standalone version to arrive on Xbox

    You may need to install GTA Online and once installed you should see the GTA Story Mode inside the game.
