GTA 5 Disc not reading

I had not trouble playing GTA 5 for the past few weeks. Today, I cannot get my Xbox to recognize the play disc. I have tried clearing the cache, playing with no storage attached...etc. My xbox has no problem with any other discs. I don't even get a read
error or unrecognized disc message. It simply does not recognize that a disc is installed. I believe this started after I downloaded the Valentine update however I have since deleted the update and tried with no storage attached. Anyone else have this issue?

GTA 5 not reading

Hi guys, recently I have been having a problem with my gta 5 discs not being able to be read on my xbox. My Xbox will read all other games, and the gta 5 was new with small minor scratches, it either says "open tray" or it registers the game, but when
I go into the game, it comes up wi the unreadable disc pop up. Does anybody have a solution or any advice on this problem?

plastic polish on a foam pad on a drill, id often find scratched up games for cheap n do that.

 

no idea,but I was on gta just now online <both disc 1 and 2 installed> ive had them installed sense launch and had no issues till all of a sudden I get a popup "the game could not be started please redownload and try again" ive reinstalled the disc,same
error

NOTE: tried it without disc 2 installed and it ran but as my xbox likes to destroy discs id rather not have it ruin my gta v so any ideas guys?

EDIT 10 years goin on 11 this august with xbox ive never once had this error

 

as I cant re edit my post I figure I should ask as well, should I reinstall the install disc then the play disc<so the playdisc isint actively spinning in the drive after initial reading> or just install the install disc and deal with it?

 

Aqua, can you open a new thread for your issue rather than hijacking mine seeing as how your only input to my problem is "no idea" and your issue is not related to mine?

 

actually, my issue is the same as yours, yours is just more in depth then mine my game started working ,after I deleted my play disc instali ,however it happened to me (the redownload error)in the middle of the game in an active multiplayer session both
our play discs arnt being properly recognized mine partly works yours not at all, so im not TECHNICALLY hijacking anything.

as to the erro itself, i checked rockstar support I saw no mention of issues like this so they don't know bout it yet or I looked in the wrong place, lets just wait I guess for an official post or something

we both have the DLC pack and both are having issues with it my money is its on rockstars end though, GTA V has been plagued with code errors from launch

 

this issue happened to me once with my fifa 14 disc. I recommended to clean the back of the disc with cloth. If the console doesnt read it then, i dont know whats wrong
