Grrrr! I am really beginning to hate you xbox one x!

So every weekend my son looks forward to playing his xbox and cannot play due to the excessive number of updates!! There should be a warning about this!! We have already taken it in to have all the updates done and less than a week later they are updating
again with no way to cancel or override it! Grrrrr! Just be warned unless you have high speed internet this console is not for you!!

I dont know what sobs told you that, but its very possible they are riight.

Its not uncommon for internet to cut out for a few seconds at a time. You could surf the web not notice a 15 - 30 second lapse ...... but it only takes about 6 seconds for the game to boot you.

There are programs you can download that you can set to ping a server on a regular basis like every 10 or 15 seconds, then log the results. You might be surprised what you'll find out.

I'm having issues with the game cutting out on me in the middle of the game and these SOB's are telling me it's my internet but every time I get disconnected my internet is still running

 

One option available to you is to set the Xbox to update games and apps while it is in standby. To do this, go to Settings/Power & Startup/Power Mode & Startup, and set the console to "instant-on." When you select this option, the console will be in a
standby mode when you shut it down after use.

Then go to Settings/System/Updates, then check the box to "keep my games & apps up to date." When this option is selected, the Xbox will automatically check for any game or app updates about once a day while in "instant-on" standby mode.

If you like, you can also check the option to "keep the console up to date" and the Xbox will also search for and apply system software updates when needed.
