Group text chats are broken, messages not showing up

Yes, there is a setting to turn group chat text chat on and off to appear on your screen. To do this, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Chat.

In the "Group Chat" section, select "Show text chat on screen."

If this option is set to "Yes", group chat text chat will appear on your screen every time someone types.

If this option is set to "No", the group chat text chat will not appear on your screen.

If you've followed these steps and the group chat text chat still doesn't appear on your screen, you can try restarting your Xbox console.

To do this, press and hold the Xbox button  for 10 seconds.

If this doesn't work either, you can try updating your Xbox console. To do this, go to Settings > System > Updates and downloads. If an update is available, install it.

Yes, I have sent a message to my friend and what happens is that as soon as I leave the chat it updates and shows the last message I sent but if I refresh the texts page it goes back to Tuesday's last text

nope didn't help

I did the chat with a gamer.. and he tried to help then said he look but never came back

I did the reset account and it allowed one of my chats to listen to the recorded messages … but when I check my group messages with voice messages it still says try again

it used to work a while back but then xbox updates itself and that's when it buggered up

and when I mean chats

I mean the built in Xbox Text messaging app where you can record audio... I have ones of both my kids in separate chat.. those voice messages work now... but the one where all 3 of us are in 1 group those voice messages still say Try again when you hit

Not a party. It's a chat like I said in the title. Ya know, like where you have a group of people text chatting in the section labeled "Chats"? Lol

Also, make sure to check your messages below your main chats because you might have a message from someone not on your friends list, which will show in a separate chat group, or also you could have a message from Xbox Live, which will also be separate.
