1.Review Family Group Settings: If you're unable to leave the family group or change privacy settings due to restrictions, review the settings within the family group to see if there are any specific limitations or permissions that need to be adjusted. You may need to coordinate with the organizer of the family group to make changes.

2.As you're not the organizer of the family group, communicate with the person who set it up to explain the issue you're experiencing and request assistance with adjusting the settings to allow for voice chat in games.

3.Test Voice Chat in Other Games: Test voice chat functionality in other games to see if the issue is specific to ***** Chainsaw Massacre or if it persists across multiple titles. This can help narrow down the source of the problem and determine if it's related to game-specific settings or broader privacy restrictions.

4. Check Individual Account Restrictions:
Access your personal privacy settings on the Xbox website (https://account.microsoft.com/privacy) and ensure no restrictions are preventing voice or text chat.
Look for settings like "Can communicate with players outside of Xbox Live" and "Create and join clubs." Set them to "Allow" or "Everybody."

well I’m trying to play nba 2k17, I don’t think you have to have voice chat to play online lol, and it’s a suspension. I read the message at xbox enforcement and it says nothing about not being able to play online, just voice communication and messages.

During a communication suspension you are allow to play multiplayer games but there is one exception to that, if the game requires voice communications to play the game and you have a comm ban then you will not be able to play that game in multiplayer mode.

I thing think this is the scenario you are describing

You cannot play Skyrim with others.

Neither Private Chat nor Party Chat are restricted in Skyrim. Private Chat is never restricted, though some games (Dark Souls, certain MW2 playlists) do restrict Party Chat.

You can switch to in-game chat by going to the "Your party" panel in Xbox and selecting "Switch to game chat.
