Group B dashboard update bricked my console

Console updates are never good, they either brick systems or make the dashboard worse

My xbox wont even open the dashboard and freezes at the loading logo. What the hell is this. I wish I never updated my xbox. I don't know if my consoles bricked.

I had the new dashboard. Underneath the large box that shows the last game/app you used there used to be another box with those 4 items in, now all it shows is my games and apps. I hope that makes more sense

That is Group B of the new Dashboard experiment that I thought was only on Insider rings at this present moment. The dashboard with the 4 items together is Group A and the original Dashboard is Group C, the control group.

Group B is the favourite as you can arrange the Dashboard to your own preferences.

If you've run the application already and it finished processing the console you will need to be patient as it can take anywhere from 2-3 business days to get the dashboard after you've submitted the console registration application.

As long as you are using your own gamertag, you should still be able to get the update. Please be patient and please refrain from talking about the dashboard update in any other place than the private dashboard forums
here (which you will have access to within
5 days of getting the dashboard update installed on your console)

If you click that link and you see "GROUP NOT FOUND" this means that your account is not currently setup for the private forums yet, you will need to be patient as this process only starts AFTER you get the dashboard update.

Check if you need a dashboard update, and check to see if last console update status was successful.

Does this work:

Settings > System > Storage
then select drive > View contents

Can you access your games in the store and add them to a group from there?

Maybe make the Xbox your Home Xbox again.

It might be something with your profile. Try another one if possible.
