Grounded Power Supply

I just picked up an Elite XBO at the US Microsoft Store and noticed the power supply is not grounded (2 prong, not 3.) Is there an electrically grounded version that I can pick up? I'd like to protect the XBO and reduce the chances of Ground Loop noise in
my A/V.

Does xbox one warranty cover lightning strikes

Lightning struck the transformer by my house last week and now my xbox one wont work. It was on a surge protector but the xbox one does not have a ground wire and if the power supply had a ground wire it wouldnt be an issue, any expincive electronic should
be grounded. its a huge disign flaw

Only the 203w power bricks have grounded AC cabling. 175w and lower were switched to two prong polarized plugs.



There hasn't been a "ground" to check since late 2007 in the 360's primary market.

Unfortunately the power supply supplied with the console is the only one made. If you would like an alternative model be made available I would suggest posting at
Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice. Also note that the power supply has built in safe guards, and it's recommended to plug directly into the wall and to not use a power strip or surge protector with it.

 

if you need it grounded, use a surge protector between the PSU and wall.

 

One says use a surge protector the other says plug to wall.
