    Groove won't install on xbox one


    I was having problems with the groove music app on my xbox one, so I uninstalled it, expecting to be able to reinstall it.

    After uninstalling, the app was in the ready to install section, I selected to install it, 10 minutes later there was no progress; so I selected to hide the app, and went to the store to reinstall the app, the install box said I owned groove, I selected
    to install it, the box in the top right corner with the downward arrow had a number one next to it, so I thought the app was downloading. I went to the my games and apps section to view the progress, and there was nothing pertaining to groove music in any
    of the ready to install, updates, que, or apps sections.

    I have also tried to install the app on my xbox one through the app store via my pc, like I have done with other apps, but have had no success.

    What can I do to fix the problem, and install groove music on my xbox one?

    Xbox One Keeps opening old Groove Music app when streaming to Xbox One

    Hi,

    When streaming something to Xbox One, it keeps trying to open the old Groove Music app.

    When it opens, I get a notification to update and then it installs the new Groove Music app.

    Then, when trying to stream from the PC to the Xbox One, you are redirected to the old Groove Music App, which you need to install and ... (loop here)

    Somebody else already opened this on the Groove Music PC forum, but was directed here (Xbox One Keeps Installing Groove When Trying to Stream From PC).
    I can't find any post on the Xbox Forum yet, so here it is..

    Xbox One Groove App not showing any music whatsoever from OneDrive.

    So I've noticed that for some reason the Groove app on my Xbox One just decided to stop working completely. It won't show any of the music on the OneDrive and I know it's a problem with specially the Groove app because nothing shows up on my phone's version
    of the Groove app either. However, the OneDrive app on the Xbox One AND my phone both work just fine. So when I put music into my OneDrive folder with my computer, it also shows up on my phone and my Xbox One, but the Groove apps just wont pick it up at all.
    This proves that it's nothing wrong with the computer or the music files. They are all Mp3's.

    Hello Martin,

    We recommend trying a power cycle
    of the console.

    If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
    reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system.

    Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out first and let us know the results.

    Background music for xbox one 2019 does not work

    I have done all those before anyone comment anything.

    When you click a app, you get prompt for a update of that app. Before the update I had no problem including groove.

    So with groove music. When I uninstall the app. Installed the groove music the background music ( clicking the app from the guide button worked) closed out the app, clicked the groove music app you get a (what's new in groove) then when you click the app
    from the guide button which just stops working.

    When I mention the background music does not work. <-- it means I go to iheartradio select music go to a game and the music stops.

    I won't do a factory reset. As I know it won't work. So does anyone have that issue? As have you even tried.

    I am having the exact same problem as pcid6.

    I also uninstalled all grove music apps then reinstalled the green one (not the blue one). In windows 10 when I select cast to device and choose my xbox it launches the store on the xbox and wants me to install the Blue Groove Music App. Even if I install
    that (then it asks to update it) it still does not work. Further, every time I do select "cast to device" it launches the store asking for groove music to be installed again.
