Groove music playing from W10

I was able to play music from my account on Windows 10 and it would realize I was playing on my Xbox One and would play the music on there, with Groove music. It was amazing. Just played my local files on W10 with it playing while I was gaming on Xbox
One. Now for some reason this feature is gone. Same account, same network, my Xbox is even a connected device in Windows 10. I don't know if they were testing out some features because there are two different groove music apps on Xbox and only one works,
the other one says coming soon. I googled everything i could think of and even spoke with support and they were escalating the issue.

Unable to Stream music from Windows 10 PC to Xbox One

Streaming directly from your W10 pc isn't available for music you'll need to upload the music to your Onedrive. You will however need to use Groove Music as this is the only way that works.

Groove Background Music is currently a feature being tested in the Xbox One Preview Program only. This is something that will be released to the public at a later date however we do not have further information regarding that.

To play your music on groove, you need to upload your music to the OneDrive cloud service, and then start groove. It should find the music from your OneDrive, and then you should be able to play it.

On December 31, 2017, the option to stream, purchase, and download music from Groove Music was discontinued. If your purchased music was downloaded, you’ll still be able to listen to it. The app is still updated and you can still play purchased music that
you were able to download from the service before 12/31/17.

"We’ll continue to update the Windows 10 Groove Music app for PC, Xbox, and Windows Phone so you can play and manage the music you’ve purchased and downloaded to these devices or uploaded to OneDrive, but the app will no longer stream or play Groove Music

If the playlist was downloaded before 12/31/17 then I don't see why it wouldn't still work on Forza Horizon 3. Forza Support will have more information on this if they did in fact remove this feature from the game once the service of Groove Music was discontinued.

Are you using the old Music app or the new Groove app. Microsoft changed from Xbox Music to Groove recently.
