Groove Four months free?

I received an email about trying Groove music for 4 months for free. When I followed the link and signed up I was charged the regular subscription price, nothing free. Why ?

i posted on here that i hadnt recieved my code for the extra months and havnt had a reply i joined on the xbox one clicking on a banner

Groove, Four free month promotion

I started my first time trial on Dec 10th 2016 using a banner ad on the Xbox One Homescreen. A friend signed up the same day using the same ad and he received his redeemable code Dec 15th 2016 through the Xbox Live Message system. All other Microsoft promotion
codes for things like Gears of War 4 pre-order and others I have received this way as well. Looked through all my email accounts it could be in plus trash and junk mail. I didn't have any trouble getting a notification that it was going to auto-renew. I got
another email when I canceled the auto renew and two separate emails with why I should re-enable auto renew the subscription to continue getting Groove.

Same here, signed up on December 23rd through my Xbox One and nothing, just spoke with Xbox customer service and they informed me to post my issue here. Doing as asked, but this is poor customer service you would expect such a large company
to get their act together when offering such promotions

The same thing happened to me! I never received the code within the 30 days, and it's been almost 2 weeks since the month trial ended. Still have never received it.
