    Grinding Noise


    Hi, when i insert a disc into my Xbox One it starts making a grinding noise and then pops up with the 'Insert the game disc' message. Ive had the console for many years and its the first time its started doing this. Any help/advice?

    Yeah. it's a sort of grinding noise. Unfortunately now is broken. It turns on but is not starting up and makes the grinding noise.

    Thanks for reaching out! Can you provide us with a bit more information regarding this situation? Does the sound only occur with that one single disc? Could you try a different game or DVD and see if the sounds happens with those as well? Let us know with

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue with the console creating a grinding sound when inserting Sword Art Online: Final Bullet.

    Our suggestions here, ensure the following:

    • The console is laid flat on its side (Horizontally)
    • There are no scratches, trails of dust, or any other anomalies present
    • The console is well ventilated, with enough space around so that it may not overheat

    Grinding noise

    it could be a number of things, there could be something in one of the fans, or something in the bluray drive or even the hard drive could be the issue, if you unplug everything from it and slowly turn it upside down and around, does it sound like anything
    is moving about/rattling? also you could try hoovering around all of the sides and back and front to see if it sucks out any debris?
