Grinding noise when inserting disc

    Grinding noise when inserting disc


    i have had my Xbox me for a couple of years now and when I try putting a disc into the Xbox it makes a horrible grinding noise and sometimes doesn't read the disc any ideas on what to do

    Grinding noise and disc stuck in drive

    After inserting a disc the drive now makes a grinding noise and will not eject the disc. Manual ejection does not work. Cannot register XBOX One to set up a service request. Any ideas?

    Grinding Noise When EJECTING Disc

    Hi, I'm wondering if the grinding noise when I eject a disc is normal. I tried different discs (Blu Ray, DVD and games) but it's the same noise. I took a video of it, here is the link.



    It sound smooth when disc going in. Grinding noise happen only when disc coming out.

    Is it only doing it when you insert the disc or the whole time? How loud is it?

    If it’s worrisome or bothersome take it back and exchange it. It should be making any noise and especially a grinding noise.

    Hi, when i insert a disc into my Xbox One it starts making a grinding noise and then pops up with the 'Insert the game disc' message. Ive had the console for many years and its the first time its started doing this. Any help/advice?

    I had to send my new console back because when I inserted a disc I would hear an awful grinding noise. Because I had the Titanfall bundle I never knew there was an issue until I tried to play a movie. I would click on the Blu Ray app and I would get a message
    that read NO DISC INSERTED.

    How is your new One? I saw a great fix for the grinding disc problem on the net the other day, bloke disconnected the box (it was grinding big style every time he inserted a disc) and turned it upside down flat on the floor (place on a towel) and gave
    the underside of it three reasonable thumps. Turned it back round and reconnected it all up, inserted the disc and hey presto no more grinding noise, took the disc out and put it back in a couple of times and all good. Apparently the noise is caused by
    a plastic gear cog just sitting slightly out of alignment due to being moved about roughly in transit. A few love taps just pops the sucker back into place.
