Grinding disk tray post earthquake

After a decent earthquake last month my Xbox one has begun making a grinding sound when disks go in and out of the tray. It no longer plays any disk-based games or in DVD's. Is there an easy fix? It is past its warranty I think. However, when I tried to
register it online it can't for some reason. It is 100% a result of the violent shaking.

Basically I want to know the following:

Will it cost me more than my $250 excess to get this repaired?

Who do I get it fixed by if I can't register it online?

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Do you think its likely that your disk was destroyed? If the grinding sound occurred when it try to read (or spin) your disk than it was probably very damaged. I doubt someone said "FREE GAME SWEET!" and then just kept it.

A grinding noise coming from the disk tray is never good news regarding the disk.

Grinding Sound When Ejecting/Reading

My Xbox 360 S Model is making a loud grinding sound whenever a game is ejected or read. The disk is still spinning on the disk tray when ejected. I know this isn't good for the console or the disc. Please give me some guidance ASAP!

My 360 does this but it doesn't seem to be a problem. I've pulled my 360 apart to fix RROD and there was nothing wrong with the disk tray. It may be the laser moving to position to the fact that the xbone has a non-front loading disk tray and it's been upgraded
to a push slot disk tray. Saying that the grind noise may be the disk spinning device holding the disk in place

this has also happened to my xbox, since the alleged lizard squad attack my disc drive is grinding horrifically.... it's only 2 months old.
