    Hello, my xbox one makes a kinda slow grinding and beeping noise when in use and then the whole system freezes for as long as the noise is on. Sometimes it starts immediately I switch on the console and therefore the console doesn't work due to it freezing. I once left my xbox out of use for like, a week and when i came back to it, i noticed it ran smoothly but after playing consistently for some days, the noise and freezing problem came back. i tried factory resetting and updating the console thinking that would help with the freezing but it keeps on being that way. So now, the only solution i have is to leave the console for quite a long time and then come back to it but my self control in that regard is poor and i cant do without playing games at least four times a week. I am madly frustrated as i am based in nigeria and there aren't so many service centers around me. i have had the xbox since 2017.

    I've only played Hydro, Grind and Mirage. Mirage seems to be a really good map. Grind is meh. I might need more time to figure that one out. Hydro is pretty good. My Xbox freezes every time Downhill came up, so I'm downloading the pack again. From
    previews I've seen I think that might end up being the one I like most, if I ever get to play it.

    Console grinds when disc inserted

    One thing of note, is that MS support found that many people with grinding noises were setting their consoles up vertically as you could do with the 360. The Xbox One is not designed to do this and can cause problems including but not limited to disc grinding,
    unreadable games, and other hardware malfunction. If you are standing your console up vertically please lay it flat. If you still experience the grinding noises call support right away and they can set up an exchange. If you have a day one edition branded
    xbox they will exchange it for another day one branded console.

    Also as a note, as Number1GoodTime said, not everyone is experiencing these issues. The word from Microsoft was that less that .5% (half a percent) of users were experiencing console problems.
