Grid Autosport

Codemasters have said there's a new Grid coming to xbox360,unfortunately it's not coming to next gen for what ever reason.

They have said they have listened to the core gamers and are returning to Toca ,if true could be good.

Grid 2 for me was a bit of a disappointment due to lack of touring car so if it's going to be more like Grid this would be an improvement.

lol, we still got a 360 in the house mate but I think I'll either get this for PC or wait until it does hit XB1 ( see below ) and I'd rather use the XB1 pad to play a racing title than anything else.

Toca series games and Racedriver: Grid were awesome games in SP & MP modes. But after the disappointment of Grid 2.... I'm trying not to get too excited.

From what I've heard and seen about Grid Autosport. It's looking like a true sequel to the original Grid game. Wishing it was on Next Gen (which is current gen) but I can understand their reasons for do that.

Has anyone else seen the Racedriver: Grid Vs Grid Autosport graphics comparison on the San Francisco track?
Geez man the original holds up pretty well considering its 7 years old.

Also, just manged to buy the original Grid for £2.23 (includes postage) via ebay. That's me playing some extreme, pro mode SP this weekend.

 

Hate the fact its another sequel, cant see it selling that well tbh. Silly not selling it current gen. Just seems like a big waste of time. Even though i am dying for a decent sim racer to play I would not buy this if it was released 2moro. New racers are
needed, the Forzas, Grids, and GTs of this world need to move on. (even get bored of the f1 games now)

You liking the look of Project Cars? ( I think it's still down for a 2014 release ) this sound very promising in my opinion.

I've been looking forward to Driveclub... thats was one of the reasons I got my PS4 but it keeps getting delayed!!! Still waiting for an kinectless X1 or a good reason to buy an X1

 

Don't even get me started with Driveclub, first it was suppose to be a launch title, then pushed back, then again to "apparently" coincide with the Japan launch, then rumours it might be pushed into 2015.

I know the developers said themselves they were having issues with it but I have a feeling it's going to be a long way off, wouldn't be surprised to hear it will be canned altogether.

I'm still loving Forza 5 but for me you can never have too many racers, NFS I played for a total of 2 hours and that was enough for me lol.

So hoping we get at least a few more in 2014. I know the last I read Project Cars is still due in 2014, some thinking Forza Horizon 2 will be officially announced at E3 and will release late 2014.

I know The Crew still down for 2014, not strictly a racer but I'm really looking forward to this.

I'm also still hoping that Codemasters will at least announce one next gen racer for 2014, F1 or DiRT will be my guess if they do.

 

@Lofty Project cars is exactly the sort of thing that is needed. Looks like a true next gen racer, i just hope it can deliver all it is promising.

I think Forza Horizon 2 is the only sequel racer i would buy (saying that i would buy Forza on the x1 and if gt7 was released 2moro for ps4 id probably buy that) but thats because the first one was some of the most fun i have had from a racing game.

I like the look of the crew but yeh not strictly a racer. I think F1 will be the next racer i get.

 

@Lofty Who: Driveclub man I feel you pain!!! Will be raging if it does get cancelled!!

I've never really liked Forza or NFS games. Not 100% sure why but always found Forza boring and NFS well... not acradey just something odd about the car handling I never liked.

I am looking forward to Project Cars too. As for the Crew... sounds good but its one of those hit and miss games but will definitely be trying it. Believe its released in November.

Would love another Dirt game but something along the lines of Dirt 1 or 2 would suit me. Or maybe another Mirco Machines game!!! Had amazing times playing them on my Megadrive.

 

32 player online micro machines would be the ultimate

 

@Boasa BS5: Yeah man, Codies keep saying they listen to the community. Lets all shout that we want Micro Machines!

 

I would be happy with a port of MM V3 to tie me over untill they realise they need to make a new one.
