can't add GRID 2

I'm trying to add this months games

I added Defense Grid 2 with no problems but when adding GRID 2 id get an error:

Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again.

I have the same issue. Gold subscription, and U.K. Region gamer tag.

When I try to purchase Grid2 I get the message "Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again.". This occurs if purchase attempted via Xbox one console and via web store. Live chat with MS support confirm no issue with my account. I can
purchase other content including 360 games.

Any ideas?

 

Grid 2 is definitely weird with regards to purchasing. I was only able to "purchase" it on my Xbox One, as it just wasn't happening on my 360 or on xbox.com. It went through fine on my Xbox One, and downloads and plays perfectly there. However, it simply
will not download on my 360 at all. It says it's installing, but then I end up with a 40kb file that just has to be deleted.

Hi everybody; I'm not an expert here, but I see that nobody has offered up any assistance, so I figured I'd at least check one thing that I know can lead to problems. Does everybody here have their account region set the same as the region that they actually
live in? I know that this can cause issues with getting games.

 

I have set on English region but i live in Slovenia. Xbox don t have option to choice Slovenian regions.

 

And that is why it won't work for you caroboy. Xbox 360 games are region locked and can't be downloaded if the actual region doesn't match the Xbox region. That is particularly true if you live in a region that isn't supported yet by Xbox Live.

Remember that it is the publisher that establishes this requirement and some are more strict than others. What has worked in the past with some GWG, will not work with others going forward.

 

So it basically means that some games are available to some Gold members, but not to others depending on the region they live?

 

Yes and that has always been true of the Xbox Marketplace and the 360 Marketplace in particular. It used to be possible to change regions pretty freely and obtain content not available in a particular region but as more content restrictions have been imposed
and more content has gone digital, that practice can also be seen as content and Marketplace theft, since you legally aren't entitled to the content. Marketplace theft can get your account banned.

Since the publisher, not Microsoft, establishes limits on the content, the fair thing to do, and it has been done in the past, is to make available alternate games in the region where the "free" content is not available for download.

In caroboy's case he lives in a region not supported at ALL by Xbox Live and in this case, with this game, the publisher has decided that the game region and user region must match or you don't get to download it, even for "free".

 

This is BS, sorry. I am in Australia and the game still wont download. Grrrrr
