    Morning,

    I understand this topic has been covered hundreds of times yet i am unable to find a solution, so i apologise in advance of ot is out there somewhere.

    The problem..

    I unplugged my Xbox one s so i could plug the WII in for my daughter, the next day i plugged it back in, started fine, got the green screen then it went straight to this

    Now, i left it like this for 5 mins and held down the Xbox button on the controller and got this

    You cant reallt make it out, but the top 3 options aren't highlighted so are not an option and i can only select close.

    Now i have litterally done everything everyone has suggested, soft reset, hard reset, unplug everything, turn wifi off etc etc and have come to the conclusion im going to have to send it away, but the wife said to give you guys and girls a chance.

    Again apologies, the amount of topics on the black screen is unreal but i have never really come across this problem and am hoping someone out there knows the problem, whether it be knackered or an easy fix its just frustrating and i want to know.

    Hey there BootneckBund,

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with a situation like this. I can totally understand how this could be pretty disheartening. In this instance, I would recommend seeing if any of the information posted in Troubleshooting
    a blank TV screen or monitor while your Xbox One is on     as well as the Xbox One System Update Solution.

    Unfortunately, if your USB ports don't work as you said, then it could very well be that your best bet would be to send it for repair.

    Hi thanks for the response.

    All i did was unplug the xbox at wall so i could pllug the wii in.

    Then when i plugged the xbix back in this happened.

    Im not trying to connect either.

    I might add i am unable to do an offline update as the USB port no longer reads USBs

    This happened before to me. Sadly you can’t play the WII on the Xbox One S only PS4 Normal Xbox One TV Gamepad etc sorry but to fix it plug in the cables again to fix it then try turning it on.

    All I can think of to try ....

    Turn off the console, and remove the power cable for a couple minutes.

    Turn off TV and AVR or Soundbar, if using, and restart them in this order.

    Firstly, turn on the TV and ensure that the correct HDMI port for the console is selected using the TV remote and SOURCE button.

    Next, turn on your AVR, if using and select correct channel.

    Last of all, turn on the console.

    All being well it will restore and load Home dashboard.

    Let us know how you get on.
