Grey block on Xbox home screen

Light grey, I thought it went nice with all the black on the home screen.

To customize your Xbox One Home screen with 'Content Blocks', scroll all the way down on your Xbox One Home screen on the Xbox One dashboard to add Content Blocks. If you have already added a Content Block before, the option will be all the way at the bottom
under 'Add more' and 'See all suggestions'. If it is your first time adding a Content Block, you will still see the steps to get started at the bottom of the Home page.

I just got the same on Xbox, when loading Ori is floating on a grey screen, and then the game crashes. Gets me back to the Xbox home screen.

What happened just before, was I was running quicker than the screen could be displayed. When Ori reappeared on screen, it was stuck between walls, and the auto save kicked in. Since then grey screen when loading the save, and this is after 16 hours of game
play trying to complete it.

A bit frustrated, tried the last 2 backup saves. But still the same. Will try a third one later.

The problem im gaving sounds similar, when I load up my xbox it goes to a grey screen, but i can hit the xbox button amd use my menue but cannot open games and apps, store, or even go to the home screen. Does the happen to you?

I love the fact that they got rid of the grey part at the screen blocking your background.

It bothers me that they only faded it down and you can still see it there, ruining your background.

I like many others like my themes dark and perhaps scary. What this faded grey does is lighting it up making it less pleasant to look at. Please just remove the faded color blocking the background.
