Green start up screen only

If your console is stuck on a start-up animation screen (shown above), power cycling your Xbox console will reset the network card and clear the cache.

1. Press and hold the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
   
2. After the console has shut down, unplug the mains lead and wait 30 seconds.
   
3. Plug the console back in and turn it on by pressing the Xbox button .
   
4. If you still see the Xbox start-up animation screen for 10 minutes or longer when the console powers back on, go to:Perform an offline system update

Unplug the console and wait 5 minutes plug it back in

Thank you for reaching out. If you haven't already, I want you to try accessing the troubleshooting menu by doing the following:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
   EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.
   
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

You will be given 4 different options, make sure to select "Reset this Xbox." You will be given the options to either delete everything or keep your games and apps, select the latter. Let us know if this helps!

Requesting a Callback from one of our Xbox Support Specialists since they have at their disposal a better arsenal of tools to look into the consoles OS and (worst case scenario) possibly look into a repair. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.
