Green screen to black screen

Having an issue where on startup, I get the Xbox one logo with the three circles underneath. Then the screen goes black and nothing else happens. The screen is still retreating that the Xbox is connected.

i have tried power cycling, changing around the hdmi input, power cycling again, inserting a disk, leaving off for 15 mins with every thing unplugged.

anything else I could try?

Issues with Xbox Live

My screen is all black last I tried to turn on my Xbox to watch some TV, I'm guessing Xbox Live is the reason? I can't even see the home screen, just a black screen. It's weird cause the green popup signed me in when I was in front of Kinect and I use my voice but outside of the green popups I've got nothing but a black screen.

Yea I got the exact same.

Green screen for about 10 minutes then black screen for another 10 minutes then system error code E303.

Sometimes it will go green screen - black screen and the consoles turns it's self off.

 

Make sure to eject any disc that is in the console, then power cycle it off. Now press and hold BOTH the eject button and power button until the console boots up. This should boot the console into a low resolution mode. If so, now just go to Settings, Display
& Sound, and adjust your TV resolution.

If that doesn't work you can try and use a different TV to try and get the display back, if it appears go into the Settings and change your display to the lowest resolution. Then take it back to your TV, boot it up, the display should show, then adjust the
resolution to fit your TV.

If neither of those work, some folks have had luck with doing a manual factory restore by using the Xbox One Offline System Update Diagnostic
Tool . Obviously, this will be a last resort as it wipes everything from the console and you'd have to re-download and set up everything again.

Thanks for the reply, I ended up using the offline tool. This did not work so I downloaded the restore to factory default on the advice of customer services. It is working fine now, just waiting to download some of my games again

 

Just as a heads up, the black screen is normal.

It should be green splash, black screen then dashboard.

After a system update, the black screen can remain for a few minutes before you see anything.
