Green Screen on Xbox One X

New Xbox One X.

When starting streaming, sometimes all I get is a green screen. Note, it is the same color as the Xbox default.

When I do the suggested fix (unplug, wait 1 min, hold start for 5 sec, plug back in) and then try, the streaming works properly

Following a restart, or after gaming for a while, the issue usually is back. Performing the sequence again clears it for a while.

This is happening with Hulu and with Netflix, so I don't think it is an app issue.

Again, this is a recurring issue, the reset sequence is not permanently correcting whatever is happening.

Any help would be appreciated.

Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.

Does it boot up to a Home screen or to a troubleshoot screen?

Do you get the CPU animation + green progress, then Home sign in?

You know the little short video that plays on an xbox one x before the xbox green screen logo? Thats when its static/snowy. Then it shows the normal xbox logo. When trying to use any video streaming app is when all i see is green screen with audio.

I tried what you suggested, it went to 680x680 like you said but it only dispayed the static/snowy screen in lower quality and still experienced the green screen with audio only on netflix and hulu.

Sorry to hear it. Please force a factory reset on your console by shutting it fully down then unplug for 10 seconds. Plug it back in then hold the Sync+ Eject buttons at the same time then tap the power button on the console. Keep holding the Sync/Eject
buttons until you hear the second set of start up tones.

Here you'll see the option to factory reset. Be sure to select to keep installed games and apps so you don't need to redownload them and your saves will be safe on the cloud.

If this does not work then you would need to set up a repair of the console.

it sounds like you have a problem with some app or os functionality, Try uninstalling the streaming app and reinstall it. If the problem persists try hard resetting your xbox 1 by reinstalling the operating system ''OS'' through troubleshooting in the
settings menu. Settings/system/console info/reset console. You have the option to keep or erase saved game files, downloaded games and apps but will have to redownload you xbox accounts so i recommend having your Passwords up to date.
