    Recently I tried to turn on my xbox but instead of loading up normally it just stays on the green loading screen. I looked up solutions and did one that involved holding down the xbox button on your controller until it vibrates, pressing start, then removing
    the controller's power source. The video said after 5 to 15 minutes it will come up with a menu to continue or reset your xbox. However after 10 minutes, my screen went totally black, despite my hdmi cable still being plugged in. I then turned of my console
    after 30 minutes of this and havent touched it since. Can anyone give me advice if they've been in a similar situation and can they tell me how they fixed it. All advice is welcome.

    (If possible I hope there are ways to keep my current console as if somehow it is completely ruined I canr afford a new one. From what I can tell my xbox one is the original 2013 model and although it is second hand, the only problems with it are the sensors
    dont work l but I just use my controller instead and the disc drive is broken but I prefer downloaded games)

    Edit: I bought this console from the second hand place in January 2017 and as I said I haven't had any problems with it despite the ones I already knew it had before buying it. I only bought this one as it was the cheapest one and although I had saved birthday
    and Christmas money, i just barely had enough for it

    Mine has been stuck on the green screen for hours I have tried unconnecting power and reseting but is still stuck on the green screen. is this possibly green screen of death?

    Hey there Ohh Hyperz.

    Sounds like you may be having some troubles with a recent update. When you get a chance please check out this

    Xbox One Update Troubleshooter     and run through all the steps provided there for the green screen. Please let us know how it goes :)

    I hope there is. Not really into the idea of buying a new console, because of some *** up update from Microsoft or any other issue caused by an intern system error.

    Just wanted to add that if that above troubleshooting doesn't help, we do have a wizard on the site about this here on

    Give that a look through as it should be able to help if you are having any kind of start up issue.
