Green Screen Loading Loop

Hello XBOX-Support-Community.

First of all, thank you for the opportunity to get help in this forum. I have not been able to contact the chat-support, as the fields for "First name" and "Last name" in the contact form have been greyed out but are mandatory fields. Beeing logged in didn't
help with that issue. That's why, I am posting my issue here on the forum:

1. What device are you having trouble with? Console, controller, other accessory?
   I am having trouble with the console.
   
2. What are you trying to do? Launch a game, connect your controller?
   
   I am trying to turn on the console.
   
3. What happens when you try to do that?
   
   The green loading screen behaves as it would load something forever. Like in an endless loop.
   
4. If an error message and/or code appears, please include that.
   
   There is no error message and/or code showing up.
   
5. Let us know what you've tried so far. Please be specific. If you've tried "Everything," then there's nothing else to try.
   
   1. I persevered a long time (about 60 minutes) in that green screen state.
   2. I turned the console off via the physical power cycle (holding the power button) and turned it on again instantly and in a second try after waiting for a short amount of time (30 seconds).
      
   3. I took the console off power for i) 10 seconds ii) a minute iii) half an hour and iv) over night.
      

Additional information: The Xbox was running for one year before, without any problems. A week ago I moved to another flat. Here, the XBOX is not connected to the internet yet. It worked without internet connection for 6 days, also on the day on that the
problem has shown up the first time (yesterday). So the console did not download any updated before the issue occurred the first time.

And your issue is with the console encountering a faulty update which requires an

offline system diagnostic tool if you'd like to
read more about this here is a thread that may be of assistance. I do apologies for the inconvenience and i do wish you the best of luck thanks.

 

While you will most likely have to use the Offline System Update Diagnostic tool, you can sometimes fix this by turning the console off and unplugging the power cord from the back for 5 minutes. It's worth giving that a shot before you reset your console.

@PurpleNurple: Like I said in my opening post, a faulty update is not the reason of this issue. I used the XBOX 6 days, without connecting it to the internet before the problem occured.

@KenH2k4 Thats what I meant with point 3) That didn't help.

I chatted with an Ambassador, and he also told me to use the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool. While I downloaded it, I gave point 1) another try. And after a very long Green-Screen-Time the Screen turned black. After that I power-cycled the console
again and the issue was solved.

So I still think the issue is different from a faulty update.
