Green Screen and Black Screen Error - Console wont start or work right

Hello. Have problem with my X1. Been like this since mid April. Been busy playing with 360 and figured should finally try and get this fixed and stop putting it off.

When my Xbox starts up it will stay in green load up screen for a while or sometimes short time and than goes right to black screen or to error code. 0x80070102 or 0x8027025a. If it goes to black screen sometimes stay there and never goes to error screen.
Sometimes black screen goes to dashboard but both black screen and dashboard have static lines like older TVs when on the static black/white channel.Sometimes i can move around dashboard and tried connecting to live and start update but update is always slow
even though it only 380mb or so and cuts out. One time it was lightning fast and should have completed but cut out at 94% and 34MB left.

Basically my Xbox will not start up. Just happened out of no where one day. was good since few days before Halo 5 came out. Heard that if a Title update gets messed up if affects the firmware keeping your Xbox from starting. I think there was a title update
day before.

Have tried turning off and on multiple times. Hold button on console to turn off, unplugged power brick, plugged power brick back in after 5 seconds and than turned button back on but nothing. This has been really frustrating. Only ever played Halo 5 before
my 350 dollar purchase turned into a brick. Any help would be appreciated. I heard of the USB flash drive fix that restarts Xbox but want to see if easier fix before getting to that.

Your issue sounded a bit different from the original poster on the other topic so I separated it so that the community can provide better support for your specific issue.

Let's have you work through this guide and see if it helps out. I am having problems with system updates on my Xbox One. Start by selecting "Startup Issue" and then Black Screen.

Hello can anyone help me. I have the same sort of problem out the blue my xbox would no connect to my tv i have tried a different tv and a different HDMI cable. It eventually got to the green screen once after ten mins of waiting but now it just stays on
the blank screen with no signal on the tv. When i turn my xbox one on the power comes on the power pack light is white but the power button on the console brightens up then fades and it does that continuously. It sounds like the console is trying to power
up but cant. Can anybody help.

Sorry to hear about the Xbox One console issues that were detailed in your post. That definitely sounds frustrating so let's see if we can this issue sorted. I see that you said you can sometimes get to the Xbox One Dashboard. Next time you get to the Dashboard
screen, I would suggest you attempt to
Factory Restore your Xbox One Console.

If factory resetting your Xbox One does not work, the next step will be running the

Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool on your Xbox One. From there, be sure to follow the provided instructions closely. Start by using the 'OSUDT2' file and if that doesn't resolve the issue, your next step would be to attempt the 'Restore Factory Defaults'
file.

If the issue persists after following the suggestions above, it sounds like your Xbox One may be in need of repairs and that process can be started via the
Online Service Center. I understand that this is not the most ideal solution, but a repair will be the best solution if the solutions above do not resolve.

Will try if it gets to dashboard but happens very rarely. Very frustrating. Will keep you posted. Thanks for reply.

 

Also forgot to add it goes to dashboard but its bare minimum. Guess the dashboard when its not connected to live. I dont remember if there was a factory restart option. Will have to look.

Will do. Have been trying but still no dashboard yet.

 

Mister Beep will my Gamertag still be fine with a factory reinstall. From this. on Factory reinstall page.

Finally got to dashboard but nothing will open. Try to go to side panel and click on stuff but just stays frozen on dashboard or goes to black screen I get an error message and than returns to dashboard. Or just returns no error message. AT the moment its
frozen or taking forever to load on side panel.

 

Trying the connect to Live option and selected my network and its says connect but option to connect to live is still there. Not offering me Title Update or any option this time.

 

I assume you did the OSDT and this is the result.

Lets try a hard reset before anything else. Follow the steps below.

Start the system then wait about 5 minutes until full boot and launch then hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds until the power is off then unplug it from the power brick so it stops receiving power all in total wait up to an additional 5 minutes
then plug it in again and see if it works as you think it should.

 

Will do. Have unplugged brick but never waited 5 minutes only 30 seconds bit more each time.

For ODST have not tried it yet because dashboard wont let me get to anything. Like Mister Beep and Factory reset steps said was trying to do it through console before getting to flash drive.

 

Have tried the shut off with power button, unplug power brick and turn back on few times but still just same stuff error messages, a useless dashboard and blank screens.

 

This is not working. On to the flash drive Factory Restore I guess?
