Green pixels and lines on TV - Xbox one S using HDMI

I am about to describe the most infuriating and confounding tech issue I have ever experienced. I have an Insignia HDTV, and I have an Xbox One S. Up until tonight, I have used the two together via an HDMI connection and have never had any issues. Nothing
has changed since the two last worked perfectly together. All of a sudden, I am getting a ton of flashing green pixels and flashing black lines on my TV screen when my xbox is plugged in.

Here is where it gets weird. This issue happens on every HDMI port on my TV (there are 3). This happens with any HDMI cord I use (I have tested 3 different ones that I have confirmed work perfectly with other devices). It also DOESN'T happen on any other
TV. I have plugged my xbox one s into two other TVs using the same HDMI cables and everything has worked perfectly. No pixels and no lines. Finally, it is not a problem with the TV because I have tested multiple other HDMI devices in all ports on my TV and
they all work perfectly.

So for some reason, only this specific TV and Xbox are suddenly incompatible via HDMI, despite having worked fine in the past. This makes no sense. I can think of no possible reason this would happen. I have found no helpful solutions anywhere on the internet.
I do not need a new HDMI cable. I do not need a new TV, and I do not need a new Xbox. Does anyone have ANY ideas why this would happen or what I can do to fix it?

:)

Using with new Samsung 65K850D, SUHD TV.

TV did auto detect XBox on setup. XBox One S was bought first then TV last week. XBox resolution is set to auto detect, always has been.

Screen Capture attached.

Thanks for any help.

Hdmi handshake issue
after turning on and blindly changing display options, 480p gave me a picture but covered with green pixels and lines but it would also drop out at times.
If you say that green pixels and errors appear, then this means that either the cabling or the connectors on your TV or console are faulty. Try to use a different HDMI cable, and if that doesn't improve the situation, check if there is dirt or dust visible
in the connectors of your console or the TV.

Check if other HDMI devices (e.g. Blu Ray Player) work on the TV. If those work, then there is a high probability, that the physical connector of your console is defective (e.g. "cold" solder points or corroded contacts).

When a HDMI device shows a picture with green pixels and lines, the signal between TV and console gets corrupted, usually bad cabling or contacts. As soon as HDCP protection is needed on higher resolutions, the Handshake can't happen due to the "broken"
data coming from the bad cabling.

So check the cabling and contacts, and see if that improves the situation.

Did you check/adjust display settings? Maybe you could try some different options?

Green pixels and flickering lines are usually a sign for bad or loose contacts in a HDMI cable or the connectors.

However, as you already said, you changed cables and tried it on a different TV, which makes this case a bit curious.

Since HDMI is a digital connection and transmits digital data, it either works, or doesn't work. If for some reason the digital transmission for the data of a pixel fails, you will see those flickering green pixels or blinking lines.

Maybe because you removed and plugged in different cables to your Xbox and moved it to a different TV, the contacts were "scrubbed" clean by removing and re-attaching the HDMI cable several times.

Or maybe your console is in a TV shelf, and the HDMI cord is bent in such a way, that you get a loose contact, whereas on the other TV, you have more free room, and the HDMI cord isn't bent as much, causing the loose contact to work.

And the other way around: If you connect the cable from the Xbox from the flickering TV to another HDMI device (e.g. BluRay player), you also move the cable in a way, that the loose contact gets a proper contact, and the cable works without flickering.

If you say the console works flawlessly on the other TV, and other devices work on the flickering TV, I'd assume that the console works, and it's an issue with the cabling or contacts.

I tried wiggling around multiple HDMi cables. For the problem TV+Xbox combo, the screen will go black if i wiggle it around enough. For the same HDMI cords on another TV nothing will happen - the connection will stay perfect. I just dont understand why
this is happening on all 3 HDMI ports on my TV.

green color on my xbox. please help!!!

Is your xbox connected to a TV or a computer monitor? sometimes a poorly functioning HDMI cable could cause issues such as discoloration in it, and you can easily fix the issue by purchasing a new HDMI cable

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ing-hdmi/dddd51f8-8fcb-4ed2-8dcd-267dfd321ab7 your
device you connect to could also have some bad connections, so it would be worth it to try and connect to a different TV and see if there are any issues there
